About the Author
Meet Nikki, the author of Charlie the Bin Truck Driver. Hailing from the sun-kissed shores of the Gold Coast, Nikki's journey began in New Zealand, moved swiftly to Australia, with detours through London and the English countryside. After navigating various corporate careers, Nikki's passion for writing was reignited after becoming a Mum. Inspired by her two bin-truck-obsessed boys and a friendly wave from their local rubbish truck driver, Nikki penned Charlie the Bin Truck Driver to bring joy to children everywhere. When she's not busy dreaming up new stories or projects, you can find her unwinding at the beach, chasing waterfalls or soaking up quality time with her loved ones. About the Illustrator
Katrina Hill, the illustrator behind the beautiful artwork in Charlie the Bin Truck Driver, is a Brisbane-based creative who works full time as a personalisation artist for Louis Vuitton. When she’s not adding bespoke art to luxury goods, you’ll find her investigating her painting practice in her home studio. Born in January, 1980, Katrina grew up in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia. From an early age she was enticed to the act of drawing and painting, influenced by the beauty of the area as well as television and film of the era. She studied at the Whitehouse School of Design, worked with Walt Disney Animation Australia, and earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Animation in Melbourne. Returning to Sydney, she completed a Painting degree at the National Art School and has since balanced freelance illustration with roles in the art supplies industry.
